Today I was having one of “those” days. You know the types – you’re shattered from the week, waiting for Friday to be over and done with so you can just get home and relax, but work just seems to pile and pile, and you’re not in the mood whatsoever! Well, I had a huge case of the “please be 5.30pm already” bug today. On top of that, I had a bit of a spat with a really dear friend of mine which made me feel quite ill (I still don’t feel quite myself after it even now to be honest), I have been having car problems, my tooth has broke, I overslept, I keep breaking glasses and generally being clumsy… and my possible big news has been delayed – yet AGAIN! It’s naturally not my week right now.
So today I browsed E-Bay and my eyes landed on a Personal Orange Osterley for sale in Germany. The advert said it would not ship to the UK however I’ve read in some cases the sellers do make exceptions – I thought “I might as well ask – don’t ask, don’t get!”. I was one of the lucky ones – the Seller, Stefanie, was so lovely and agreed to sell to myself despite me being in the UK. I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous and excited processing a payment before!
Stefanie, if you do come back to visit my blog, I’d just like to say your English was so much better than my very poor German, and you were fantastic to deal with – thank you so much for posting out to the UK, I appreciate it very much 🙂 . I can’t wait to see how I can use the Osterley!
I am now sitting here wondering how on earth I’ve managed to allow myself to part with such money – however I’ve had my eye on an Orange Osterley since last year and I’ve never really been able to stop thinking about it.
So, to justify my splurge, I’ve decided (amongst many other things) to sell my Filofax Kendal! You may recall it was my first venture out into the world of Personal Filofaxes after a short stint with my Lilac Pocket Metropol. My Kendal has travelled the UK with me keeping me in check as a Rep however since I purchased my Grey Malden it’s been housebound – box bound – with old diary inserts and report notes to keep it company. I just know that it ought to be back out there, travelling, living life and getting lived in and cherished and looked after.
So if you’re on the lookout for a Personal Kendal, let me know 🙂
On the subject of Filofax selling, I’m considering selling the Slimline Finsbury (same as the one I purchased for my dad without all the modifications haha). I originally thought it would be great as a meeting planner and for me writing meeting notes (it has a lovely professional edge and the small rings are easy to write in, me being left handed and all). But I’m really reluctant to part with it for some odd reason… I’m not sure
Anyhow, the wait is on now for the infamous Osterley – I believe I ought to give him a name – how about something really original like “Ozzie” the Orange Osterley?
Actually, thinking about it, it’s ironic, as I love “Aussie”‘s.
And with that, I think it’s time for me to finish off my RAK and get it posted 🙂
Catch you later
