Trying out the Passport Midori Traveler’s Notebook as a Wallet/Purse

You can watch the video of my change HERE

And this is how I made the Cash Envelope System into my Passport Midori Traveler’s Notebook:

Firstly, I gathered supplies. Traveler’s Notebook, Insert (to use as a measuring tool), envelopes that fit your cash, glue stick, tape, pen/pencil (for marking), siscors, something to create a label (be it a marker pen, excel labels, Dynamo Label maker) and a piece of card.

Firstly, take all of your envelopes and decide how many you want to use for your cash envelope system.

Fold them all so that the flap is facing inwards.

Glue the unflapped sides together, like so:

And it will look like a booklet when finished.

Next, open out all of your flaps:

Create your labels. I used excel, placed thick boarders around each one and made sure I had everything twice:

Once cut out, I then began to create the tabs, utilising the flaps of the envelopes.

The result looked like this:

Out of card, I traced around an insert and provided it around 5mm of spine.

I also created some little secretarial pockets from the envelopes to fit on the outsides of the booklet for receipts or tickets etc.

I then added tape to the edges of the envelopes to give them strength.

Then glued the first edge of the booklet onto the card, slid the notebook through the Midori Traveler’s Notebook Middle elastic and glued the other side down.

Pulled through my zipper pocket behind the elastic and voila!

Have you used your Passport Traveler’s Notebook as a Wallet/Purse/Cash Envelope System?

I’m a Giveaway Winner! And my Sparkly Red Filofax Amazona

Greetings Peeps!

I seem to have stumbled on a few really good days this week already! Not only is it a short week for most of us in the UK with Good Friday almost on us… As many as you may know if you’re a regular reader, yesterday I got Personal Amazona in Red (I’ve named her Marilyn… Yep, my PA has a name… It makes me feel I can bond with it better and will utilise it more) which I’ve been really thrilled about, but more on that (yep, even MORE!) in a moment…

A couple of weeks ago I was so lucky enough to win my first ever giveaway! I never win competitions or giveaways so I was really shocked and amazed!

Sarah of the site:

Adventures in Trying to Organise my Life

Sent me a lovely lovely package and I think she knew I was getting a red Amazona so I saw lots of Reds and blacks etc… PERFECT!

I am in LOVE with the chevron washi tape and the keys washi tape… And the little red hearts… And the stamps… Oh, everything is lovely! Thank you so much Sarah!

Course, I had to get using these little bits and bobs… So I got to work on my April Month spread:

It wasn’t until later I realised I’d placed the keys upside down -Doh!

Also… One of my favourite perfumes is Valentina by Valentino. Each birthday or Christmas I’m guaranteed to open up a set of the perfume and moisturiser. It’s got to a point I have shedloads of that gorgeous moisturiser (because I only use it on special occasions) so I slathered it all over my Diva Amazona last night before moving in.

Course, it smells amazing… And I completely forgot that it shimmers and sparkles in the light! Here you may be able to see:

Told you she was a star 😉

Get moisturising!

Til next time

Found It! Personal Amazona in Red :)

Yesterday, while lounging around on the facebook groups for my Anazona to miraculously “pop up”, I recall a lady looking for a personal Amazona in Almond… And I saw someone’s photograph saying they were having a big sort out. In the stash was an Almond Amazona.

Naturally, to me, that meant they were having a clear out etc… And being the excited person I was, mailed the lady searching for the Almond notifying her of my findings… But alas, no avail… The buyer was not selling at all.

We then got on to having a little moan about how our Amazonas were so elusive and I blurted out that I had been mailing everyone in the hope of my red Amazona. To my surprise, she said she had got it and was happy to sell to me.

Call me crazy but I had tears in my eyes and I was so happy… But the only thing that stopped my happiness fully was the fact she couldn’t find her ideal planner anywhere.

So I went on a mission, mailing bloggers that had featured Almond Amazonas in their blogs… Got a couple of “already sold on” responses… And then finally got a reply from a very regular lifestyle blogger who notified me she still had hers and was willing to sell!

I told my Almond Amazona seeking friend and got the two in touch… And now everyone has what they want!

All yesterday afternoon I spend making new dividers for the Amazona in prep for when she gets here:

I think I shall name her Marilyn 😉

She’s on her way to me shortly! Yippeeeeeee!

Now I’m just going to float into work :).

Have you had an interesting planner search?

Filofax Temperley Inserts?

Hello All!

I’ve moved away from Pocket size as I’ve really missed being able to print my own pages onto personal paper immediately.  I really am an “options” girl.  So at the moment I’m back in my pink personal Finsbury.

But…  I’ve gone a little naughty and splurged on a beautiful Filofax Temperley Guinea.

As any Filofax/Planner fanatic would, whilst waiting on the lovely members of the Royal Mail to decide when they feel like posting my beloved planner, I’ve been editing my own current planner, figuring out what I really need in there, adding sections, removing sections, tweeking sections…

And then I came across the Temperley Inserts.  And I fell in love. The organiser I have purchased in 2nd hand and holds no inserts, but I really really really really want Temperley Inserts!  You know?

Last thing I want to do is purchase another Temperley just so I get these inserts, so… does anyone know where I’d be able to get these?  Or printables of these?

Input is greatly received 🙂

Catch you later

Any Pink/Rose Pocket Filo’s out there?

Hello people!

You know when you’re looking for a specific Filofax and they’re nowhere to be found?  I got a bad case of that going on right now.

I really want to get my mitts on a pocket Finchley/Piazza (not a Finsbury) style Filo (19mm rings).  But here’s the tricky bit, it needs to be in that pretty light pink or vintage rose colour.  I have to be tricky, don’t I?

So, if there is anyone out there looking to sell, shout out!

Cheers M’Dears!
